Milton Haig: "This Victory Is a Result of Hard Work"

“We will drink a little bit and go on working” – Milton Haig, head coach of the Georgian national team, stated after beating Romania 38:9.

Haig highlighted that this victory was the result of hard work:

“We are all happy – rugby players, coaches, spectators… This victory is the result of hard work and of course, we could not have achieved it in several days or weeks. We could have won by bigger blowout if we had played better in some moments. Today we are celebrating victory, will drink beer and then go on working”.

The New Zealander specialist was asked about the composition of “The Lelos”:

“It can be said that today we had the strongest composition. Other players will also show up in the national team. New players will be tested in June and November” – replied Haig.

Captain Shalva Sutiashvili thanked spectators and made a comment about Sergio Parisse’s statement, captain of the Italian national team:

“I am proud that today we had such a good environment. I want to thank fans for their support. I heard Parisse thinks it is too early to open doors of Six Nations. I want to say we can play at high level and if anyone has a doubt, let them play us” – stated the captain of “The Lelos”.

After yesterday’s victory the Georgian national team won European Nations Cup and Antimoz Iverieli Cup.
