The Georgian national team of rugby started European Championship 2016 with victory. The Georgian rugby players scored 9 tries against German team in the first meeting and won with a big score.

In the initial minutes of the match, the visitors took advantage and scored a try conversion, but the Georgians soon returned everything on its place. Before the break, Beka Gorgadze, Mikheil Nariashvili, Giorgi Nemsadze and Anton Peikrishvili scored 4 tries and Lasha Malaguradze added three conversions – 26:7.

In the final 20-25 minutes, Giorgi Tkhilaishvili, Lasha Lomidze (2), Lasha Khmaladze and Shalva Sutiashvili scored tries, Malaguradze made 4 conversions and the Georgian national team started the European Championship with big win – 59:7.
