Octavian Morariu, president of Rugby Europe, who is paying a visit to Tbilisi and Giorgi Nizharadze, president of the Georgian Rugby Union, held a joint press conference.
Morariu talked about the goals of his visit related to the 2016 Rugby Europe Congress which will take place in Tbilisi, organizational issues of the 2017 World Rugby U-20 Championship and of course, he could not avoid GRU presidential election.
Morariu noted the successful way which the Georgian rugby has passed and stressed Giorgi Nizharadze’s contribution in it.
Giorgi Nizharadze thanked the president of Rugby Europe, veterans, fans and journalists for their support. Nizharadze stated he withdrew candidature to keep unity in the Georgian rugby family. Also, he added it is important to keep the current united and successful team and he is ready to do everything for further progress of the Georgian rugby.
