At the pre-match press conference Ucha Sosiashvili, head coach of “Dila” Gori, stated draw would satisfy him. “Dila” will face “Partizan” Belgrade in UEFA Champions League second qualifying round.
Irakli Modebadze, top scorer of “Dila”, assistant coach Milovan Matijasevic and Varlam Darsadze, executive director of the club, also attended the press conference.
Ucha Sosiashvili: “I want to greet journalists and Belgrade. It will be a very interesting and tough match. We are playing the club which has a great history. It is a very successful club. We carried out our main goal and we made through to Champions League. We promise our fans it will be a very interesting and tough match”.
- What do you think about the future match?
Irakli Modebadze: “I think it will be a very tough match. We know “Partizan” is a strong team but we will do our best”.
- Why did you arrive in Belgrade so early?
Sosiashvili: “We knew it was a very beautiful city. We live in the best hotel. Besides that, there is high temperature in Belgrade and we need time for adaptation”.
- Have you watched game of “Partizan”?
Sosiashvili: “Of course, I have. It is a very strong team. We know we play the team which is technically and tactically strong”.
- Miranda Surmanidze’s question, journalist of TVS: Unfortunately, we missed press conference of head coach of “Partizan” because the hosts thought Georgian journalist would not attend the press conference of the opponent. The head coach of “Partizan” stated “Dila” Gori held 3 friendly matches but he could not watch them. Mr. Ucha, have you learnt the game of “Partizan”?
Sosiashvili: “I am sure the opponent would find information about us and is ready for the match. As for us, we watched five matches of “Partizan”.
- According to the Serbian press, you practiced at “Cukaricka” base?
Milovan Matijasevic: “No, we did not”.
- Which player is dangerous for you in “Partizan”?
Sosiashvili: “I cannot name only one because “Partizan” plays team play”.
- Do you know captain of “Partizan” is 12 years older than you?
Matijasevic: “Yes, I do”.
- Which result will satisfy “Dila” Gori?
Sosiashvili: “We must not lose and it will be a feeling of satisfaction”.
- What ambitions will the team have in the next season?
Sosiashvili: “The team will have ambition to become a champion and win the Georgian Cup”.
“Partizan”-“Dila” match will take place at JNA Stadium in Belgrade on July 14. The match will start at 21:45 Tbilisi time. None of the Georgian channels are planning to broadcast the match. On Monday Davit Minashvili, host of “Arena”, stated the Georgian Public Broadcaster could not achieve agreement with the Serbian side.
