The first day of European Games turned out to be unsuccessful for only representative of the Georgian karate. Irakli Tkebuchava (67 kg) lost to all three opponents and could not make through to playoff.

Cyclist Besik Gavasheli also could not achieve success. 43 athletes participated in mountain biking. Five sportsmen could not finish race. Gavasheli beat only the Azerbaijani opponent and took the 37^th place.

In canoe sprint Vlada Kositska took the last 9^th place and was 17,5 seconds (!) behind the first-place.

In gymnastics Paata Nozadze took the 46^th place 38.599 points and Nato Dzidziguri finished in the 50^th place with 24.099 points.
