Sports Palace Hosted Tournament in Memory of Guram Gugenishvili

M-1 Challenge 55 in mixed martial arts was held at Tbilisi Sports Palace which was dedicated to late Georgian sportsman Guram Gugenishvili.

Georgian, Tajik, Spanish, Romania, Slovak, Russian, Finnish, Croatian and German fighters participated in the tournament.

Organizers showed a video of Guram Gugenishvili which was followed by a great ovation of fans. Family members of Guram also were in the hall.

In middle weight Raul Tutarashvili defeated Artur Aliev of Russia. In heavy weight Levan Razmadze lost to Arsen Abdulkerimov of Russia.

Nodar Kudukhashvili won over Luigi Fioravanti of the USA.

Last November Guram Gugenishvili, 28, tragically died in car accident. Gugenishvili was M-1 Challenge world champion. He started professional career in 2009, won 11 fights and later, gained M-1 Ukraine, M-1 Selection Western Europe and M-1 Challenge titles.
